The fearsome, lumbering Cyclops hails from ancient Greek legends. The most famous of these one-eyed giants was Polyphemus from Homer's Odyssey. The rapacious creature captured Odysseus and his crew and devoured many of his men before Odysseus blinded him, escaping certain death and saving the remainder of his crew.
